The Office of the State Fire Marshal is pleased to welcome the addition of a side-by-side burn trailer, donated to our office by the National Fire Sprinkler Association. The side-by-side burn trailer is designed to show the effectiveness of fire sprinkler systems in a home setting.
We have made the trailer available for communities and fire departments across Kansas for demonstrations. If your organization or department is interested in having a demonstration in your community, fill out the form below.

Demonstration Requests
- Requests must be made at least one month in advance of your event.
- Due to the size, costs of refurbishing, transport and staff time of the demonstration trailer, we require the event audience size to be 50 minimum, other smaller attendance size requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Location must have access to an electrical source.
- Event organizers must arrange for local fire service to be present, with personnel and a fire truck with water to supply sprinkler system and to extinguish fire.
