Kansas Firefighter Recruitment and Safety Grant Program

The Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) is providing no-match grants to volunteer/part-time Fire Departments across the state for personal protection equipment (PPE). This would include bunker gear, fire helmets, fire boots, and self-contained breathing apparatus units for new department members. Additionally grants would be available for extractors and junior firefighter programs, as well as physicals not covered by the individual's insurance or reimbursed by their department. Visit our KFRSG page for more information.

Toys or Lighters Display CaseToys or Lighters Display Case

Many novelty/toy-like lighters look like animals, miniature cars, and other objects that attract children. Other lighters are look-alike miniatures of adult tools or instruments. For example: cell phones, hammers, paintbrushes, and felt-tip markers. These novelty lighters are dangerous in the hands of children unable to tell the difference between a toy and a lighter. Our display case of novelty lighters is available for educational programs in Kansas.
